Stand with Officer Hoover in Healing

On April 29, 2024, Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service were met with gunfire while attempting to serve arrest warrants on a wanted fugitive. This incident tragically claimed the lives of four law enforcement officers and left several others injured and facing lengthy recoveries. Our own Statesville Police Department Investigator Hoover sustained injuries during this incident in his dual capacity as a USMS Task Force Officer. We are incredibly grateful that he is expected to fully recover from his injuries. However, we are looking ahead to the costs associated with medical expenses, time out of work for him and his wife, and all other related costs during the recovery process. There are so many needs as a result of this tragedy, and we are thankful for any and all assistance that will go directly to Officer / TFO Hoover’s needs.
