Update: Hospitalization During One of the Hardest Phases of Treatment
We are now approaching the end of Noah’s first intensive year of leukemia treatment. This phase has been one of the most physically demanding so far, with aggressive chemotherapy that suppresses his immune system and blood counts.
This week Noah was admitted to the hospital with an infection after his counts dropped dangerously low. His hemoglobin and platelets fell to critical levels, and he is currently receiving blood transfusions and IV antibiotics while doctors monitor him closely.
At the same time, our only vehicle recently broke down unexpectedly. Reliable transportation is essential for Noah’s care, as we travel about one hour each way for his chemotherapy and hospital appointments. Managing this setback during an already difficult phase of treatment has added another layer of financial strain.
As Noah’s full-time caregiver, I continue to be by his side through every hospital stay, treatment, and recovery day. Your support—whether through donations, sharing this page, or keeping Noah in your thoughts—helps us keep moving forward through this incredibly challenging time.
We are deeply grateful for the kindness and support that has carried us this far.
Brooke & Noah
On April 24, 2025, my world turned upside down when my 13-year-old son, Noah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Noah is not your average teenager. At 6’6”, he’s a towering presence on the basketball court with dreams of going pro—but it’s his heart, determination, and spirit that truly set him apart. Right now, he’s facing the hardest fight of his life: intense chemotherapy, hospital stays, and physical challenges no child should ever have to endure.
This first phase of treatment has been especially demanding. I’ve stepped into the role of Noah’s full-time caregiver, managing a daily schedule filled with chemotherapy, doctor visits, and medical care—all while helping him adjust to homeschooling so he can stay safe and continue learning. The first year of treatment is the most intense, but the full journey spans 2 to 3 years. We remain hopeful that as time goes on, Noah will regain his strength and return to chasing his basketball dreams.
In addition to the emotional weight, I’m navigating growing financial burdens: gas, groceries, and medical expenses.
Any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing this page, or simply keeping Noah in your thoughts—means more than we can say. Your kindness allows us to focus on Noah’s healing and gives us strength when we need it most.
I’ll be sharing updates along the way, the highs, the lows, and everything in between to build a circle of support not just for Noah, but for other families walking this path too.
Thank you for being part of our team.
