Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Nina Koblentz, and I am a 31-year-old woman fighting a battle against complex chronic illnesses. For years, I have struggled with Lyme disease, co-infections like Babesia and Bartonella, mold toxicity from a dangerously water-damaged apartment, Hashimoto’s, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), and amenorrhea. While I received my official diagnosis in February 2016, I have faced health challenges since childhood.

Since my diagnosis, I have dedicated my life to healing. My family has supported me as much as they can, even selling belongings and maxing out credit cards to cover the costs of my supplements and therapies. Unfortunately, my journey has been incredibly costly, and insurance has not provided the support I need. Despite our efforts, my health struggles continue, and I find myself in a dire situation.

Currently, my bank account is in the negative, and I have also maxed out my credit cards in a desperate attempt to secure the supplements and therapies that are essential for my healing. My illnesses have made it impossible for me to work, leaving me in a constant state of anxiety and fear about how to meet my medical needs. The stress of being chronically ill is overwhelming, and it drains my energy, making every day a struggle for survival.

Additionally, my health issues have severely impacted my dental health, leading to bone loss in my jaw and a collapsed jaw. I require extensive dental reconstruction that will cost over $50,000. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover this necessary treatment, and I need to see a biological dentist who understands chronic illness and uses safe, non-toxic materials.

I have been fortunate to have support from my family and friends, including Brianna, who has been helping me throughout this journey. Their unwavering support has been invaluable, but I know that more help is needed to get me to a place of healing and stability.

These diseases and the effects of mold have nearly taken my life, but I refuse to give up on my dream of becoming healthy and happy. For the past ten years, I have faced the terrifying reality of amenorrhea, which threatens my ultimate dream of becoming a wife and mother. Until I can achieve better health, that dream feels uncertain.
