Caring for Nette

Jeanette Lumbre, also known as Nette, is a dedicated RN at GMH for close to 19 years. She’s a soft-spoken, kind-hearted person always ready to help and rarely asking for help. Within a week’s time, Nette went to the doctor for a headache, leading to an MRI where they found masses, then a craniotomy to remove the masses, to finding out that those masses were gliomas. Life threw a curveball for her and everyone who loves her because the last thing we want to hear is anything bad happen to the people we care most about. Through the recommendation of her doctors, she was advised to seek immediate treatment off-island, away from home.

Nette will be heading to Texas where she will be accompanied by her husband, G. As she prepares to leave her job, her primary source of income will be lost, adding financial strain to an already difficult time.

We are humbly asking family and friends to help support Nette during this challenging time. Your contribution will help alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses and living costs while she undergoes treatment far from home. Nette has spent most of her life caring for others, risking her own life to save another, and now more than ever, she deserves our help.
