Stand with Nesrine: Aid for Life Expenses During Treatment

Everyone always hopes that cancer never enters into their home or lives. For the past four months, my sister, Nesrine, has been secretly fighting stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. When she told me, I felt like my world came crashing down. I felt numb and helpless living over 1,000 miles away. When I’m with my sister and my nieces, along with my own children, I’m at home and I refuse to let our home be broken.

Everything Nesrine has, she’s achieved on her own and has single-handedly provided for my two beautiful nieces, Amani, 12, and Jaylani, 2.

She has four more treatments left to beat this and I’m asking for support. Support for her and her babies for life expenses that aren’t covered under insurance due to being out of work while undergoing these intense treatments. Treatments that NO ONE should ever have to go through.

Ever since I was a little girl, I looked up to my big sister. I wanted to do everything she did and go everywhere she went. Now that I’m an adult and a mother, nothing has changed. I wish I could fill her shoes and take this pain away from her.

I continue to admire Nesrine’s strength and resilience. She has always been a fighter and she is determined to beat this and we know she will. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart to give anything you can. I know we can come together as a community of people who love her and our family to just show her that she is certainly not alone. I will always be my sister’s keeper!! To know Nes is to love Nes.
