My name is Pradeep Simkhada. I am a Nepali living in the UK, currently based at Harlow. I run a supermarket business London, and I am also an active member of the Harlow Nepalese community.

As a Nepali living abroad, I watched the protests in Nepal and their aftermath with heartbreak. Young students and ordinary citizens rose bravely against corruption, demanding a fairer future. They stood unarmed, yet their voices were met with bullets. Seventy-one people lost their lives. Thousands were left injured — many of them young students, far from their families in villages or with parents working abroad.

I have no personal or family relation to the injured, but I have a deep national bond with them. They are my people. They fought for a just Nepal, and my community here in the UK trusts me to stand for them in this difficult time. That is why I am taking this responsibility with full accountability.

I will be traveling to Nepal next week, and before I celebrate any festival with my own family, my first priority will be to personally meet these injured protesters. Wherever possible, I will hand over your donations directly to the victims. Every distribution will be documented with photos, videos, and receipts, which I will share openly for full transparency.

If there are situations where I cannot reach the victims personally, the funds will be coordinated with Ashika Tamang, who has been working on the ground since the very beginning to support the injured. Ashika is widely trusted and has proven dedication to this cause.

Your donations will go toward urgent needs such as:

Food, clothes, and daily essentials for the injured and their caretakers

Temporary shelter and transportation for families who come from remote areas

Legal and community support for victims who are left isolated

Direct cash aid in cases where immediate personal needs are identified

These young people fought for justice and sacrificed everything for Nepal’s future. Now it is our duty to heal their wounded voices.

मेरो नाम प्रदीप सिम्खडा हो। म यतिबेला बेलायतमा बस्छु। विदेशमा बस्दा पनि म नेपालका आन्दोलनका प्रत्येक क्षण र त्यसको परिणामलाई भारी मनले पछ्याइरहेको थिएँ — आफ्ना दाजुभाइ दिदीबहिनीहरूले न्यायका लागि जीवन जोखिममा पार्दा टाढैबाट असहाय भएर हेर्दै थिएँ। म चाँडै नेपाल फर्किँदैछु चाडपर्वका लागि, तर पर्व मनाउनु अघि मेरो पहिलो प्राथमिकता घाइते आन्दोलनकारीहरूसँग भेट्नु र यहाँबाट उठेको सहयोग उनीहरूको हातमा पुर्‍याउनु हुनेछ। यो समयमा गर्नुपर्ने काम यही हो भन्ने विश्वासले म यो जिम्मेवारी लिएको छु।

न्यायका लागि आवाज उठाएका थिए — तर त्यसको मूल्य असह्य भयो।

नेपालका सडकमा युवा विद्यार्थी र आम नागरिकहरू निडर भएर उठे। उनीहरू भ्रष्टाचारविरुद्ध उभिए, उज्ज्वल भविष्यको माग गरे। उनीहरूसँग केही थिएन — साहस र देशलाई इमानदारी चाहिने सपना बाहेक। तर उनीहरूको आवाजलाई गोलीले चुप पारियो।

७१ जनाले जीवन गुमाए। हजारौं घाइते भए, जसको शरीरमा अब जीवनभरि रहने घाउ छ। धेरै विद्यार्थीहरू परिवारदेखि टाढा छन् — कोही गाउँमा आमाबाबु छन्, कोही विदेशमा श्रम गरिरहेका। उनीहरूले आफ्नो मात्र लागि होइन, सम्पूर्ण नेपालीको सम्मान र आउने पुस्ताको लागि लडे।

आज, उनीहरू ती घाउसँगै बाँचिरहेका छन् — न्यायका लागि तिरेको मूल्यका प्रमाणहरू बोकेर। उनीहरूको आवाजले राष्ट्र हल्लाएको थियो। तर अहिले ती आवाज कमजोर छन्, थाकेका छन्, पीडामा छन्।

म ती घाइते नायकहरूलाई प्रत्यक्ष भेट्नेछु, उनीहरूको कथा सुन्नेछु, र सकेसम्म सहयोग पुर्‍याउनेछु — खाना, बासस्थान, लुगा, यातायात, कानुनी सहयोग र जहाँ आवश्यक हुन्छ त्यहाँ प्रत्यक्ष सहयोग। जहाँ म पुग्न सक्दिन, त्यहाँ बाँकी सम्पूर्ण रकम आशिका तामाङलाई दिनेछु, जसले पारदर्शिता र निष्पक्षतासहित सहयोग पुर्‍याउनेछन्। हरेक पैसा र हरेक कदम खुलेर साझा गरिनेछ ताकि तपाईंहरूले आफ्नो सहयोगले ल्याएको उपचार देख्न सक्नुहुनेछ।

उनीहरूले न्यायका लागि लडे। अब हाम्रो कर्तव्य छ — न्यायका घाइते आवाजलाई निको पार्नु।

नेपालसँग उभिनुहोस्। यी नायकहरूसँग उभिनुहोस्। आशा, सम्मान र जीवन फर्काउन सहयोग गर्नुहोस्।
