Sapphire Estate Agents Southwest Group is a real estate company based in South West Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Several members of our team are part of the Nepalese-Australian community and maintain strong cultural and community connections with Nepal. We have created this fundraiser to stand with the people of Nepal and support communities affected by the devastating floods.

We are not raising funds for one particular person or family, and we do not have a direct relationship with any individual beneficiary. This appeal is intended to support flood-affected communities across Nepal through the Government of Nepal’s official disaster relief fund.

On 26 August 2026, catastrophic flash flooding struck northern Nepal near the Nepal–China border. Rasuwa, Nuwakot and surrounding districts were among the hardest-hit areas. Homes were destroyed, roads and bridges were washed away, and essential infrastructure was severely damaged. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies estimates that approximately 93,000 people may have been affected, with some communities remaining isolated and difficult for emergency teams to reach.

How the funds will be spent:

All net funds received through this GoFundMe, after applicable GoFundMe transaction fees, will be transferred to the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund through its official government donation channel.

The Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund is responsible for allocating donations toward disaster rescue, emergency relief, rehabilitation and recovery operations. This may include food, clean water, temporary shelter, medical assistance and support for affected communities and essential infrastructure.

Sapphire Estate Agents will not retain any portion of the donations. No funds will be distributed to our company, its directors, employees or any individual connected to our organisation.

Funds withdrawn from GoFundMe will be kept separately from Sapphire Estate Agents’ ordinary business funds while awaiting transfer. We will maintain records of the total amount raised, applicable platform fees and the final amount transferred.

Once the transfer is completed, we will publish an update and proof of payment so donors can see where the funds have gone.

Nepal is facing an enormous rescue and recovery effort. Every contribution, regardless of its size, will help support the country during this difficult time.
