My name is Richard Price, and I am a Baltimore Police Officer. I was one of the responding officers who arrived at the scene and transported 7-year-old Na’Sir Jade’n Harris to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was struck by gunfire. This tragic incident of Baltimore City gun violence deeply impacted me, and I have remained in contact with Na’Sir’s family throughout his recovery.

About Na’Sir:

Na’Sir is a bright, loving, and energetic young boy whose life was forever changed in a single moment. While riding in the backseat of his mother’s car on their way to visit his grandmother, he was caught in the crossfire of a gunfight that broke out in the street. One of the bullets pierced the car door and struck Na’Sir in the leg. Thanks to quick action and excellent medical care, his life was saved — but his journey to recovery has been long and challenging.

Since that day, Na’Sir has undergone multiple surgeries to save his leg and now faces a difficult road ahead with rehabilitation and physical therapy as he learns to walk again. Through it all, his strength, courage, and positive spirit have continued to shine.

How the Funds Will Be Used:

All funds raised will go directly toward supporting Na’Sir’s ongoing recovery and his family’s needs, including:

• Medical bills from surgeries and hospital stays

• Rehabilitation and physical therapy costs

• Medical equipment, recovery supplies, and mobility assistance

• Daily living expenses for Na’Sir’s mother, Jade Harris, who has been by his side every day since the incident

Jade Harris, Na’Sir’s mother, is the designated beneficiary of this fundraiser. With her permission, I am managing the campaign and will ensure that all donations are transferred directly to her for Na’Sir’s care and recovery expenses.
