Stand with Nancy Kuhlmann in Her Cancer Battle
Donation protected
I am Billie, and I am raising funds for my younger sister Nancy, to help with expenses related to her Cancer diagnosis.
In November 2024, Nancy was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and Stage 3 Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma. This is a Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This is a rare diagnosis for someone of her age (46) and comes with a long list of trials and tribulations. CLL is a blood cancer affecting the white blood cells and her lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins and waste. Stage 3 means the cancer has progressed to the point of affecting blood cell counts and has enlarged her lymph nodes, spleen, and liver.
Nancy's health has deteriorated over the past 3 years with no diagnosis. In September 2024, she was in a car accident that resulted in imaging of her back and abdomen. This revealed 4 masses in her body, which allowed her medical team to finally make a proper diagnosis. Nancy immediately started Chemotherapy.
Nancy receives both IV Chemo through her port and Oral/Pill Chemo. She will be on the oral chemo daily, three weeks per month, for the next 3 years. She receives the IV Chemo in the 4th week of the month. The oral chemo increases every week depending on her progress, but this causes more and ever-changing symptoms and side effects. Currently, Nancy suffers from severe and chronic fatigue, anemia, weakness, low blood sugars, shortness of breath, pain, nausea, dizziness, fainting, brain fog, disturbed sleep, and more. Her hair has thinned significantly but she has not yet lost all of her hair. She does the best she can day to day, having both good and not-so-good days. As you can imagine, keeping a positive attitude is crucial!
Nancy would be the first to offer help to someone in need, but asking for help for yourself is difficult! We are asking her village for prayers and financial help if you are able. Any funds received will be used directly for medical and household expenses, including travel expenses incurred.
Nancy is a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many of us! If you are able to help her financially or with prayers and positive thoughts, we would be ever-so grateful for helping her on this journey and helping with her peace of mind needed to focus on fighting and healing.
If you would rather send a donation, you can send it to Nancy Kuhlmann, 215 3rd St. SW, Long Prairie, MN 56347.
