Over the past few weeks, her health has taken a terrifying turn. Her pancreas has begun to fail, and she’s now on a feeding tube as the doctors work around the clock to stabilize her.

Seeing her like this has been heartbreaking. My sister has always been strong, independent, and the type of person who never asks anyone for help — even when she truly needs it. But right now, she can’t work, she’s extremely sick, and the bills at home aren’t stopping. On top of fighting for her health, she’s facing the very real fear of falling behind on her mortgage and losing the home she has worked so hard for.
