A woman of God

Our Aunt, Our Mother, is always there for her children, her niece, her lovely husband, her extended family, and even the family that God has gifted her with.

A woman of God, that's what Mummy Chantal is to us.

It is a privilege for us, her children and nieces, to share the story of someone who means the world to us — Mummy Chantal: A woman of strength, resilience, and boundless love. She’s always been the one to lift everyone around her, to care for others selflessly, and to bring light into the lives of those who know her. But years ago, everything changed when she was diagnosed with cancer, and by the grace of the Almighty, she stood strong as a first-time cancer survivor. This time around, it took us by surprise. Knowing her as a workaholic, an active servant of God at her local church, and an advocate for everyone regardless of gender, lifestyle, or social class, Mummy Chantal kept fighting a pain she thought was nothing until one day she came home with a stage 4 cancer result. "God got me, I am going to be just fine." That was her response to console us when we were the ones who needed to comfort her.

For many, the journey of facing cancer begins with fear, confusion, uncertainty, and tears. And yet, Mummy Chantal never allowed those feelings to define her. She took it all head-on, fighting with courage and grace. The diagnosis was shocking—stage 4, meaning the cancer had spread beyond the breast and into other parts of her body such as her spine. However, Mummy Chantal, with her heart of steel, wasn’t about to let that define who she was.

Through the many treatments, the hospital visits, the difficult days, and the sleepless nights, she showed us what it means to be truly brave and faithful to God regardless of the side effects of radiation therapy and chemotherapy. She fought not only for herself, but for her family, for the future, and for the countless others who are affected by this disease. Her strength and hope have been nothing short of inspirational.

But as we all know, fighting cancer is not only about the individual. It’s about the family, the caregivers, the doctors, and the community who come together to support the journey. That's why we humbly need your support.

Mummy Chantal's fight is far from over. After already undergoing 10 radiation therapy sessions, she continues to battle with every ounce of her being. But as you can imagine, the medical expenses are overwhelming, and the road ahead is long. This is where your generosity and kindness come in. The funds raised will go toward supporting her by helping her receive the necessary treatment, easing financial burdens, giving hope, and showing her that we are with her no matter the distance.
