Stand with Mr. Z in His Time of Need

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm raising funds for my friend Danny Zermeno popularly known as Mr. Z by everyone.

Mr. Z is a PE paraprofessional who has worked at Pecan Valley Elementary for 33 years. I have known and worked with Mr. Z for nearly 20 years. He has become a dear friend to many. He is also a swim coach and lifeguard for many years with the YMCA and has helped countless students and adults learn to swim.

Mr. Z suffered from a stroke on May 25 while working at the YMCA. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks spending almost a week in ICU and then moving to progressive care and finally physical rehab. I am raising funds to help cover his hospital expenses, his on-going rehab and to assist with lost wages from lack of summer employment. Mr. Z typically works during the summer to supplement his school pay.

Mr. Z has a heart of gold. He is a Christian man who lives his faith daily. Always positive and willing to help, Mr. Z makes friends wherever he is. He strives to make others feel welcomed and has been a brother-figure and father-figure, role model and mentor to many; praying, offering support, friendship and advice while challenging others to be their best. Often times, former students come back to say hello and thank Mr. Z for his love and support.
