If any of you know my family, you know we are the first to help anyone we can and the last to ask for help, even when we need it most!

I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister, Missy. I have always admired the hardworking, strong woman and fighter she has always been! This year has been the hardest fight yet! She has not been able to work for a year! If you know her, you know that is not her, and if she was able to, she would work 2 or 3 jobs before ever asking for help! (A Hamblin trait I’m convinced.) It started off when she got COVID and developed many more breathing issues and was diagnosed with reactive airway disease. While she was working through all that, she tore her rotator cuff and again worked through all that pain until she finally had to have surgery and physically couldn’t work anymore.

Since then, she has seen multiple doctors, had many hospital stays, and ER visits. She had to go to a nursing home where she almost had a mental breakdown! But again, she is a fighter; she made it through that and is still fighting. She has seen many specialists who have tried to figure out why her blood pressures are very high and not able to be controlled through medication. She is in physical pain due to degenerative disc disease along with fibromyalgia. They just recently ran a test that found her norepinephrine levels, which should be around 451; hers are 1430. This controls a lot! We are waiting for a couple more tests to come back to get a full picture of what is causing this. Every day she fights physically and mentally not to give up! Her youngest daughter graduated high school, and she wants to make sure she has a grad party and is also stressing to pay her bills. She also has a 3-year-old granddaughter who is her world and one more on the way! She has so much to live and fight for, but it’s a lot for one person to have to go through on their own!

She has applied for disability twice and just received her second denial letter. She has been diagnosed with very serious, life-threatening, and debilitating conditions, and still, they deny her! She is a fighter and is going to fight this again. We are praying and believing for a miracle to take place not only in her finances but in her physical body!

I hate to see her stress and struggle, and if I can ask for help for her just to give her a little break from the financial stress, that will be amazing!
