Stand with Meihsa in Her Cancer Battle

Three months ago Meihsa began experiencing hip pain that she chalked up to sciatica pain. She began seeing a chiropractor for relief and was taking ibuprofen to manage her pain. As the pain increased and was inhibiting daily life and sleep, she sought help from her primary care physician who referred her last week for a CT scan.
On Tuesday morning Meihsa received the results of the CT (through MyChart) which were alarming. As she was just beginning to barely process that she received a call from her doctor instructing her to immediately go to the ER as she had a significant blood clot. Once there doctors then began discussing the alarming CT results, a large mass visible in her rectum, spots on her liver and lungs, and a pathological fracture in her hip/pelvic bone with abscesses.
Within the next couple days the doctors moved quickly to run tests and biopsies to determine what battle specifically we were facing.
Meihsa has been diagnosed with advanced stage 4 adenocarcinoma that originated in her colon, has metastasized to her liver, lungs, and hip/pelvic bone. She has a number of blood clots due to the cancer. Meihsa’s doctors are starting chemotherapy on Monday. At this time surgery and radiation are not options.
As many of you might know, Meihsa has a big beautiful family, her husband Joe, and 8 amazing kids, Damian, Zachary, Savannah, Levi, Madison, Rebekah, Adalyn, Lilliana. She is a loving mother & wife, amazing daughter & sister, and a friend to SO many. She has and would do anything for anyone! Now she needs our help.

Today I officially found out I have advanced cancer. I am working through all of my emotions and how to handle all of this. I have been in the hospital since Tuesday and have had so many tests done. Joe has been home with the children and is helping them navigate all of this. We believe that Jesus is going to heal me and this is not the end of my story. We need prayer warriors!
