Terminal cancer at 26, husband & father of 4

Hi, my name is McKayla, and I’m reaching out with a heart that is breaking but hopeful.

My husband, Jeffrey, is battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma for the second time. After beating cancer once, we were devastated to learn that it has returned—and more aggressively. He’s now beginning to undergo chemotherapy and will soon need a bone marrow transplant. This treatment is his best shot at survival, but it has completely changed our lives.

As I write this I am currently 37 weeks pregnant with our fourth child, and we have three young children at home who are watching their dad grow weaker day. While they should be playing, laughing, and looking forward to meeting their new sibling, they’re instead surrounded by hospital visits, whispered worries, and parents doing their best to hold everything together. We should be setting up a crib, folding tiny clothes, and preparing for those first moments as a family. Instead, we are just trying to keep a roof over our heads.

Because of his treatments, my husband can’t work—and with me in the final weeks of pregnancy, I’m unable to either. We’ve already fallen behind on rent, and bills. We’re terrified of losing our home just as we bring a newborn into this world.

I never imagined writing something like this. But we need help. We need community. We need a miracle.

We’re asking for support to help with:
• Rent and housing stability, so we don’t face eviction
• Out-of-pocket medical expenses for chemotherapy and the bone marrow transplant, in the state of Florida at the moment no one Is accepting his Ambetter insurance for his bone marrow transplant.
• Living costs while we focus on healing and bringing our baby home safely
• Essential needs for our children, including baby supplies and everyday necessities

We are doing everything we can to stay strong for our kids, but the emotional and financial weight is overwhelming. Every dollar helps, every prayer counts, and even sharing our story can make a huge difference.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring, for standing with us, and for helping us give our children the chance to feel safe, secure, and surrounded by love during the most difficult chapter of our lives.
I have posted updates below of how our journey is going.. please read

Jeffreys battle has turned terminal… his prognosis is 6 months. I never thought I’d be planning my husbands funeral at 25 years old..

With endless gratitude,
McKayla ❤️
