Our hearts are broken as we share the passing of our beloved Mayra. At only 21 years old, she was the most caring, loving, and considerate person we knew. No matter the circumstances, she was always smiling- a smile that could brighten even the darkest days.

Mayra had a deep love for music and a gift for playing the clarinet. She brought joy wherever she went, not just with her music, but with her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering positivity.

She was also the love of my son’s life-his first love, his everything. For 7 years they shared countless memories, adventures, and dreams for the future. They grew up together, supported each other through every challenge, and loved each other with a devotion that was rare and beautiful.

On May 24th, Mayra was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She faced the diagnosis with incredible strength and grace; enduring rigorous chemotherapy. On July 4th she received the news she was in remission- a moment of pure hope for all of us. On August 10th, our world was shattered when she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
