As most people know, Max went into the hospital a month ago. At the time we went in, we didn't know what was happening with him. He crashed shortly after arriving at the hospital. We almost lost our boy. The doctors struggled to find out what was wrong. After many tests and MRIs, we found out that he had severe pneumonia in his right lung as well as bronchial malacia. We tried to take him off the vent, but Max crashed again. At that point, the next step was to place a trach in so that he could breathe on his own. After 4 weeks on the ventilator, we were finally able to get him off after the trach was placed in. Today, 5/7, Max will have his g-tube placed in. Max is making great progress now, but he still has a long road to recovery. He is finally able to get up and walk with assistance. Please continue to keep Max and our family in your prayers.
We normally don't ask for help, but with all the travel expenses, moving into a new house, and me not being able to work through all of this, we are financially struggling with everything. We appreciate all the love and support everyone has given us through this hard time.
Because of Max, we are strong ❤️
