We Keep Fighting – Supporting Matt Martinez

Hey friends,

This is one of those moments where the words don’t come easy but they come from the heart.

We are writing to ask for your help for someone who has given so much to so many of us: Matteo “Matt” Martinez a husband, a father, a cancer survivor, and a pillar of the El Paso music community and beyond.

In 2023, Matt went through a life-threatening battle after doctors discovered multiple tumors in his stomach. He fought hard and he survived. But in November 2024, he was diagnosed again this time with grade 3 Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.

Matt’s condition may be terminal. That’s a heavy truth. But there’s still time. Still treatment. Still hope. And if you know Matt, you know giving up is not in his DNA.

Matt the man. Matt the singer. Matt the Rockhouse owner. He’s been there for countless people hosting shows, lifting others up, giving bands their first break, being a friend when one was needed. Now it’s time for all of us to show up for him.
