María is our dear community member, beloved niece, and wonderful mother to three young children. During a routine ICE check-in, ICE agents took María and arrested her without prior warning on December 19, 2025, in San Diego, CA, even though she was complying with a routine check-in.

María has been in detention since in a privately-run detention center in California City, CA. The detention conditions are horrendous, and this has made María ill.

As local community supporters, our goal is to raise the funds needed to support María and her family as they navigate the challenges associated with her detention.
