Tragic Loss of a Dear Friend, Caring Father, and a Loving Husband: Let's Come Together to Support His Family

Heart attacks can strike at any age, leaving devastating consequences in their wake. They are often thought to be a concern for the elderly, but the reality is that they can strike at any age.

And when tragedy strikes, it's not just the victim who suffers; their loved ones are often left to pick up the pieces. For Pallavi, the sudden loss of her husband Makarand means facing the daunting challenge of becoming the sole breadwinner and caregiver for their two young children.

At just 41 years old, our dear friend Makarand had his whole life ahead of him, but a sudden heart attack took him away from his loved ones in an instant. Makarand was our colleague, neighbor and a dear friend. He lived in Columbus, Ohio for 6 years before deciding to move back to India to take care of his family.

Makarand was a loving husband to Pallavi, a dedicated homemaker, and a devoted father to their two young children, aged 9 and 5. His children were his world, and he beamed with pride at his son's exceptional talent for playing the flute. He had big dreams of taking his music to the international stage and was putting together a plan to make that dream a reality in his final days.

Makarand was a rock for his parents as well as his in-laws. With a heart of gold, he had always put their needs before his own. He supported his mother through her cancer treatment, and his mother-in-law through her heart surgery. Unfortunately, Makarand’s mom lost the battle to cancer and passed away a few months ago. He was the only anchor that held both families together financially and emotionally during these difficult times.

Makarand's final day was a testament to his dedication and hard work. He spent the last few hours of his life working tirelessly from home. In a tragic turn of events, he was found breathless on the floor and within a few minutes he departed for heavenly abode.

Today, Makarand's family faces a daunting future without him. His wife Pallavi, who relied on him as the sole breadwinner, needs our support. We, as friends, colleagues, and members of the community, have the power to make a difference in their lives during this devastating time.

We have started this fundraiser to provide Pallavi and her children with the financial support they need to provide them some cushion to deal with such a huge void in their lives. We all know how difficult it can be for housewives to suddenly be given the charge to run a family. Pallavi has a lot to process and uncover as she mourns her loved husband.
