Stand with Maggie in Her Healing Journey
Donazione protetta
On Monday, May 27th our Maggie was involved in a hit and run accident while riding an electric scooter in downtown Sacramento. Maggie was on her way to meet with some friends and enjoy her day off, when she was tragically hit by a car from behind. Maggie has since been taken to UC Davis Medical Center where she is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is being treated for internal bleeding injuries, a head injury, and a broken leg. Her treatment has included many tests, and she is currently undergoing surgery for her leg at this time.
For those of you whom have not had the chance to meet the lively, fun, festival attending, animal saving, and loving wife of my brother in law, she is not one to let an injury hold her back in any way, but this promises to be a challenge for not only Maggie, but the entire family. Maggie is a Veterinarian Technician where she helps to save the lives of animals, and helps deliver puppies. She is also known to bring home a few strays whom are found around her work, or she quickly finds them a loving home-that is how we found our cat, Murray. She is loving, caring, and always first to show up when needed. And as such, we need to show up for her.
If you can help Maggie and her family by any means, this would mean the world! Maggie and her husband, Ricardo need to focus on her recovery at this point, so let's help where we can!
As an update, the driver has still not been found. We are working with the authorities to ensure that the individual is caught and brought to justice.
Please note, Ricardo Roux has been added as the beneficiary for this support drive and will manage the donations, in order to pay for medical bills and ongoing treatment for Maggie. The money will go directly to support Maggie as she recovers from this terrible accident.
Thank you!
