On January 27th, 2025, this world lost an amazing father, husband, and all around great guy, Luis Miguel Parodi, a longtime friend of mine from Peru. His son Luis attends the University of Saint Frances in Fort Wayne, IN as a business student on the NAIA Division Soccer team. He was granted a sports scholarship and holds an international student visa (which doesn’t allow him to work). Due to his father’s passing, Luis might not be able to follow his dreams of becoming a businessman with an MBA if there isn’t enough money raised to carry him through the rest of his educational career. I am asking for all of your help to assist with Luis’ future, as I have seen how bright it is. Luis is an excellent student (3.4 GPA), great athlete and a social conscious wonderful human being.  Luis’ mom, my childhood friend, has been left to care for 6 family members on her own: her children, granddaughter and elderly parents. She is a psychologist who provides pro bono services to the needy that now has to be the sole provider for her entire family. I have seen this family grow throughout the years and it saddens me very deeply to see my good friend leave this earth, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still try to help his son follow his dreams—like he would want.
