I pray this message finds you well, though I must admit I come with a heavy heart. My name is Erica, my family and I find ourselves in a situation that we never imagined we would face. In the early morning on June 09, 2024, a devastating fire swept through my mother’s, Loretta Benson, home, leaving her with nothing but the clothes on her back and a heart full of uncertainty.

As a retired widow, her home was not just a place to live—it was her sanctuary, filled with precious memories of a lifetime shared with her beloved family. Now, she is displaced and without the means to rebuild what all she has lost. The fire not only took away her home, the home her late husband Ronnie Benson built with his own hands, but also everything inside it—her clothes, furniture, personal items, cherished mementos and even crucial medical equipment that she relies on for her health and well-being.

We, her family, are reaching out to you today, not out of habit or desire for charity, but out of sheer necessity. She desperately needs your help to get back on her feet and rebuild her life. The road ahead seems daunting, but with the support of compassionate individuals like you, I believe that together we can make a difference.
