Stand With Lisa: A Journey Through Grief
Donation protected
Life has dealt our dear friend, Lisa, unimaginable heartbreak. At the end of 2023, she had to say goodbye to her mother. Just a few months later (just over a year ago), she buried her beloved 10-year-old son, Caleb, after he spent his entire life bravely battling cancer. Now, she is facing yet another devastating loss—her husband, Chris, is in the final stages of kidney failure, and hospice has been called in.
Lisa is staring down a future filled with grief beyond what any one person should have to endure. She has already lost her only child—her only biological connection in this world—and now she is losing the one person who understood her pain the most. In just over a year, the life she built, the people she loved most deeply, have all been taken from her.
Lisa is not just our friend; she is our sister. We call ourselves the Lilies—a diverse group of people who, as children, lived the earliest parts of our lives at the White Lily Orphanage in Daegu, South Korea before being adopted around the world. Though we don’t share blood, we share a bond that runs just as deep. And right now, our Lily Sister needs us.
Lisa is facing an uncertain future, filled with grief, financial burdens, and the heartbreaking task of navigating life without Caleb and Chris. As her "Lily Siblings," we are rallying together to lift some of that weight off her shoulders. But we need your help.
Our goal is to provide Lisa with financial support so she can focus on grieving, healing, and simply putting one foot in front of the other. The road ahead will not be easy, but with love, community, and generosity, we can help her find her way.
If you can donate, no matter the amount, please do. If you can’t, please share Lisa’s story. Every bit of kindness, every act of love, is a light in her darkest hour.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
With love,
Lisa's Lily Siblings
