We are asking our community to come together for Lexi, an 11-year-old softball player who is a beloved daughter, twin sister, teammate, and friend. Lexi and her family are facing an incredibly difficult battle after Lexi was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer (only three per million).

This spring, Lexi began experiencing pain in her leg. At first, everyone thought she had simply twisted or injured it while playing, but as the pain continued, even running the bases became increasingly difficult. Lexi tried physical therapy, hoping time and treatment would help. When there was no improvement, her family sought help from a bone specialist. After further testing at the hospital, Lexi and her family learned that Lexi has bone cancer at a very difficult stage.

Through every appointment, treatment, and unknown, Lexi has shown so much bravery, strength, and resilience. She comes from a warm, close-knit family that is always together, and the same loved ones who have filled the sidelines cheering her on are now standing beside her through this fight.

Lexi has already begun chemotherapy. Her family is now seeking every possible option to give Lexi the best chance to fight, including expert opinions, additional treatment options, and the best care available.

This long and exhausting road has brought enormous emotional and financial strain, especially as Lexi’s mom has stepped away from work to be fully present for Lexi’s care. Support from this fundraiser will help cover medical costs, treatment-related expenses, and everyday needs so Lexi’s family can stay focused on what matters most: fighting this cancer and giving Lexi every possible chance to continue doing what she loves.
