Stand with Leslie: Protect Her Family's Future

Hello Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,

My name is Leslie, and I am a mother of 2 sweet kids; ages 11 and 13. As my friends and family know, I have been in the midst of a bizarre and painful ongoing divorce and custody process for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, in order to keep myself and my children safe, I need to continue the battle until the finish line. This battle is complicated by the fact that the legal system is being used as a way to financially "hurt" me, and I have to fight each individual court filing separately which adds up so quickly.

I have had a few family members generously help in order to retain a great lawyer in order for us to finally put this process behind us and move on with our lives. However, I already owe the attorney another $10,000, and that doesn't include the amount that I have put on credit cards. This isn’t a fundraiser for the aftermath of this process—it’s for right now. I haven’t even reached trial yet, and already the legal costs are overwhelming.
