Over the last decade, I've given my time and work to educate the public about trans people. I'm facing an uncertain future in Indiana, a state where growing legislation threatens my rights and safety. I'm not alone. Many trans folks in red states are facing similar threats.

Our states may take away or limit our medically necessary gender-affirming care. It may become difficult to have IDs that match our gender identity. Please research what is happening in Florida and Trump's continued rhetoric about trans folks.

I have a goal to buy a property in New Mexico. I've found one with a literal sanctuary. Owning property in New Mexico—a blue state with gender-affirming care shield laws and a low cost of living—is not just a dream but a step toward securing access to care. With your help, I hope to raise money for a down payment on a property in New Mexico, where I can find refuge, and offer housing to trans folks from red states seeking care or temporary solace. Unfortunately, life circumstances make this goal unattainable alone, so I'm asking help from my global community. I plan on continuing to live a daily life in Indiana. This property will help me and others find peace and care.

What will your money fund:

A down payment on a small/modest place in New Mexico. This will ensure Leo has a location to access medical care, have IDs that reflect his gender and seek sanctuary and peace. In addition, Leo will offer it as a free place for trans folks seeking care to stay. Leo will offset costs for the property by renting it out as an AirBnB. Over time, Leo hopes to invest in the property further and create retreats for trans people.

If I'm unable to obtain a property within by Jan 1, 2027 I will donate the amount received through mutual aid to trans people.
