My name is Ali, and lately I’ve been carrying a weight in my heart that is difficult to put into words.
Every day I see the images coming out of Lebanon. Families rushing to leave their homes, mothers holding their children, elderly people being evacuated from places they’ve lived in for decades. Entire neighborhoods emptying overnight.
These are not just headlines.
These are fathers trying to protect their children. These are mothers wondering where their family will sleep tonight. These are young people watching their future disappear overnight.
Thousands of families are being forced to flee their homes with almost nothing. Many are moving from town to town searching for safety. But safety is expensive when an entire population is displaced. Rent prices have skyrocketed. Shelters are overcrowded and basic necessities are out of reach for many.
Imagine leaving your home with only a small bag, not knowing where you will sleep, how you will feed your children, or how long this nightmare will last.
This is the reality for countless Lebanese families right now.
The hardest part is the feeling of helplessness. Watching people suffer and feeling like there is nothing you can do.
But I believe there is something we can do.
Even the smallest act of compassion can become hope for someone who feels like the world has forgotten them.
This fundraiser is not about politics.
It is about humanity.
It is about helping families find temporary shelter, food, clothing, and the basic necessities they need to survive during these difficult times.
Every donation, no matter the amount, becomes a message to these families that they are not alone… that somewhere in the world there are people who care enough to stand with them in their darkest hour.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this and for showing compassion to people who desperately need it.
Sometimes the world feels heavy.
But kindness still has the power to lift it.
***Updates will be shared throughout this process so everyone who contributes can see the impact their kindness is making.***
