Our beautiful friend Leah is facing the unimaginable — a battle with both ovarian cancer and dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the muscles and skin.

In a bittersweet twist of fate, the dermatomyositis that made her sick is what led doctors to discover her cancer early, giving her a fighting chance. In the past few weeks, Leah has endured major surgery, IVIG treatments, and her first rounds of chemo, all with the courage, humor, and grace that define her.

Leah is a self-employed home appraiser and the devoted mom of two amazing kids, Jackson and Addy — one in college and one in high school. After losing their dad, Leah has been their rock and sole provider. Now it’s time for us to lift her up.
