Lauren Hoefer, a dedicated mother of three, loving wife and a cherished member of our community now faces a battle against a formidable opponent: cancer.

Last year, Lauren began experiencing pain, initially thought to be gallbladder-related. However, an ultrasound revealed a large mass in her abdomen, leading to a diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Lauren bravely underwent surgery to remove the tumor, spending a week in the ICU. Despite this, the cancer returned, spreading to her liver and lungs.

Lauren's current treatment plan involves a grueling schedule of chemotherapy infusions every 21 days, with an initial course of six infusions, followed by a likely continuation of maintenance chemo. These treatments are not only physically and emotionally taxing but also require Lauren to miss significant time from work, impacting her family's financial stability.

We are launching a GoFundMe campaign, along with a t-shirt drive and a fundraising event (details to come), to raise $20,000 to support Lauren and her family during this challenging time. The funds will help cover lost income and other expenses, allowing Lauren to focus on her recovery without the added stress of financial burdens.
