My name is Shawn Przybyla. It is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you the news of my Aunt Laura’s health. The past couple of months have been a whirlwind for my Aunt and her husband Glenn, and daughter Abby, including multiple trips to the ER and admission into the hospital. She has undergone many tests including EKGs, CAT scans, echocardiograms, angio CT scans, ultrasounds, MRIs, and several blood tests while her doctors attempted to form a diagnosis since January 2nd. This eventually culminated in her admittance to the hospital for pleural effusion, which is a condition involving excessive buildup of fluid in the lungs.

Her doctor explained that this condition can be caused by congestive heart failure. During her hospital stay, the cardiologist ordered a bone marrow biopsy along with the originally scheduled kidney biopsy, and earlier this week she was delivered the unfortunate and heartbreaking news that the biopsy had identified a rare type of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma called Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia, a cancer of the blood cells.

I ask that you please include my Aunt Laura and Uncle Glenn’s family in your prayers and wish the same for anyone suffering with a cancer diagnosis.

With the investigation and progression of her condition, she has been unable to work for nearly two months. Her family has struggled with finances during this difficult time to keep above water between medical bills, mortgage payments, creditors, and weekly groceries. If you would be able to assist them with their financial burden, ANY donations would be greatly appreciated.
