Hello, this is my father in law, Larry Clement. He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer late last year. Drs made everything seem promising and treatable. The cancer began to rapidly grow and it spread to his esophagus and into his voice box and neck. After going to the hospital for a stress test, which he was unable to complete due to very low oxygen levels, they rushed him to U of M Cancer Center. Once arrived at the U, he had pneumonia and they were afraid to operate on him but had to because he could not breathe. After hours in surgery he came out ok but very sick. Larry's infection got worse and contracted ecoli. After another surgery, he was intubated for 7 days. From that he ended up getting a really bad bed sore on his bottom. Thing's start to get better and then he falls 3 steps back. He is currently in a facility to help with his care. He is still struggling with infections and being able to breathe. Larry has been in the hospital for almost 3 months now and doesn't look like he will be able to come home anytime soon. His wife, Deborah, has been commuting back and forth from their home 3 hours north of ann arbor and staying with family between hospital visits and stays. Any help would be appreciative. Larry had to retire suddenly due to his illness and they are on a fixed income which isn't much. All Donations go directly into Deborah and Larry's Bank Account. Thank you and God Bless
