Help Me Fight Aggressive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

Hi everyone,

My name is Landon Roberts, and I’m 19 years old. Recently, my life changed in a way I never expected, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 aggressive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.

If you know me, you know I’m a very active person. I love golfing, pickleball, working out, playing guitar, gaming, and spending time with the people I love. At 19 years old, I never imagined I would be facing something this serious.

This all started when I began having trouble breathing through my nose. At first, I was treated for a sinus infection after going to urgent care, but my symptoms continued getting worse for over a two months. Eventually, I went to an ENT specialist, where they discovered a 3.4 cm mass deep in the back of my sinuses and face.

King’s Daughters originally attempted to help, but they did not have the specialized tools needed for surgery. I was then transferred to UK, where surgeons were finally able to remove the mass and help me breathe again.

After the mass was sent to pathology, I received the diagnosis that changed everything: Stage 2 aggressive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.

Since then, my care has been transferred to Ohio State, where I have started treatment. Right now, I am undergoing immunotherapy along with three different chemotherapy medications. My current treatment plan includes four rounds of treatment spaced three weeks apart, with the possibility of more treatments if needed.

This has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Along with fighting cancer, there are also many financial challenges that come with treatment. Because my care is at Ohio State, we have to travel frequently and stay in hotels the night before treatments and appointments. Between medical expenses, travel costs, lodging, meals, and missed work, everything adds up very quickly.
