Stand with Kyler: 4 Rounds of Chemo
Donation protected
My name is Melissa Miller and I am hoping to help a wonderful family in a situation nobody ever wants to be in. One of our favorite families, the Noel family, finally completed their family with their sweet boy Kyler in October. He was born with cancer and is starting chemo.
This is from Ambers post
Life update: I never thought we would be walking down the cancer path but here we are. Kyler was born with a sacrococcygeal teratoma tumor. We were flown down to Denver via fixed wings when he was 2 days old. He had a 6 hr surgery to remove the teratoma tumor at just 4 days old…. It was a brutal surgery and an even more brutal recovery. It took 8.5 weeks for the incision to heal. Teratomas are usually benign…. Kyler’s came back with 85% benign teratoma and 15% yolk sac… fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I noticed some swelling and rushed him in. Well turns out the tumor has grown back. After some testing Kyler was diagnosed with stage 2 germ cell CANCER. We are currently in the hospital in Kalispell MT. Getting chemotherapy. He will have 4 rounds of chemo, each round being 21 days. The 1st, 5 days of the 21 days we will be admitted and he will get chemo everyday, then the remaining 16 days is a rest period. We have to stay in Kalispell (which is 5 hours away from home). Phill and the girls will come up on the weekends but Kyler and I will stay in Kalispell until we have completed the 4 rounds of chemo. After the 4 rounds of chemo he will have another surgery to remove the remainder of the tumor. Our family moto is now “we can do hard things!” #cancersucks
