Stand with Kurt in His Fight Against Cancer

Hi Guys,

As most of you know I'm Val. I grew up with the Gendron family since I was in 6th grade and always received ample love and support from all of them. They are very close to my heart.

Recently, Kurt Gendron has had some major health problems . After declining health last summer, he was diagnosed in December with stage 3 renal (kidney) cancer. He had his left kidney removed 1/23/24 and was on the mend when he started having heart issues. Three months to the day 4/23/24 he went in for a few stents but they urgently changed to double bypass surgery. The doctor's remarked he was lucky to have lived thru the kidney surgery with his heart the way it was. Thankfully, both surgeries went well and were successful. Shortly after heart surgery, Kurt started having issues breathing so back to the hospital ED he went. He was again admitted because he had a bunch of fluid in and around his heart and lungs. After a few procedures, he was able to breath and feeling a bit better. Shortly after being admitted for the third time, he found out the cancer has now spread to his lung. Every time Kurt fights his way through, they find another health issue! If you know Kurt, you know he is a strong man and has fire in his eyes! He's a fighter!

. Kurt has worked for the Town of Orford for 28 years as the caretaker of the cemeteries. But he does not have any benefits from the town because it's considered a seasonal job. Kurt has not worked since last November and is obviously unable to work now. His wife has a full time job, but due to Kurt's health issues Tanya has had to take off a lot of time and is now out of paid time off.

This family has been through so much and they are now trying to live off a drastically reduced income. Some of you may know, I lost my Mom to this absolutely horrid disease recently and I know first hand how cancer consumes your body and life. So, I'm seeking help for the Gendron family because they are so close to me and need our support. Every small donation helps and could greatly benefit Kurt and Tanya.
