Stand with Kristen in Her Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
Hello friends and family!

Life can be unexpected sometimes. One week your best friend and sister is her usual upbeat, motivated, full-of-life self, visiting you from 2,000 miles across the country to go dancing and hiking and making my friends like her better than they like me—and the next she’s having a hard time finding the energy to just stand in front of a mirror to get ready for the day.

She can still convince you that nothing is wrong because she’s strong willed and maybe a little in denial (and afraid of doctors ) but when test results come back positive there is nothing else to do but get ready for the next steps in beating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a form of cancer.

Kristen’s words: “It started at the end of December and initially, I thought my symptoms were temporary, hoping they would improve over time. But as days passed my energy worsened and a persistent cough would not stop. It became increasingly difficult for me to even perform simple tasks like standing in front of the mirror or taking a shower. A large mass appeared on my neck late January, prompting a series of tests and consultations, and the diagnosis was confirmed on April 17th. I begin my treatment journey this May. The road ahead looks like about six months of chemotherapy. I know this is going to be a hard journey, but I’m so grateful for the love and support that surrounds me, and I’m trusting God with whatever He has in store for me to learn and overcome.”

While this news came as a shock to us all, she is determined to fight this battle with courage and God by her side.

Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a curable form of cancer, but the road to recovery is challenging, both emotionally and financially. My sister and her husband Jordan are facing all you can imagine in hospital bills and medical expenses. She’s still currently working but may have to reduce hours depending on how her body reacts to treatment.

So. Because of all this, I am reaching out to you, my friends, family, and community, for your support. Your generosity will help alleviate the financial burden associated with her treatment, letting her put all her energy into getting better rather than the worry of mounting medical bills.

Every contribution, no matter how small, and every prayer, kind word, and dollar are appreciated beyond words and will serve as a source of strength during this challenging time. (If you choose to donate, Gofundme will ask for a tip, which is completely optional. If you want to keep everything you donate going to Kristen then choose $0.)

With all the love and gratitude myself and our entire family holds, we thank you for standing by Kristen’s side as she kicks Hodgkin's Lymphoma booty!!!!
