Stand with Kimberly and Taylor's Family

A little less than a year ago, Kimberly was diagnosed with cancer. Taylor found out she was pregnant right before this. Instead of enjoying the pregnancy and sharing those special moments like hearing the heartbeat, when the baby first kicked, and finding out the sex, and so on, they had to share their fear on medical treatments and how successful they would be. As a mom, you want to be there with your child and celebrate and enjoy your new grandchild. When Taylor's first son was born 8 years ago, Kimberly was there with Taylor through all of it. Of course, she wanted to do the same for this second grandchild, but her health was not allowing it. Kimberly was not able to be there by Taylor's side and share these moments the way she would have liked. On top of the stress to be by her mom's side each day, Taylor lives an hour and a half away from Kimberly. Taylor has been traveling back and forth each day trying to balance spending time with her mom as well as her children. She is extremely overwhelmed as she wants to soak up this time with her newborn baby, enjoy the summer break with her 8-year-old while he's out of school, and obviously be with her mom each day to ensure she's being properly cared for. Taylor also has to maintain her part-time job to have enough money to afford the gas to continuously drive back and forth. It is impossible for her to be in all of these different places at once and all are equally important.

Over the last year, Kimberly has gone through many different treatments and surgeries. The cancer started in her lungs and she also developed tumors in her brain. The chemo initially helped reduce the tumors in her brain, but unfortunately, they have returned. Kimberly has been admitted to the hospital on average for a couple of days each week for the last year. While she has insurance, the medical bills are piling up quickly. She is not physically able to continue working and her husband and Taylor have not been able to work full-time as Kimberly needs constant care.

We're asking for support to help Kimberly and Taylor through this to help manage the medical bills, the ongoing care Kimberly needs, and the expenses Taylor needs to pay for gas to travel back and forth each day as well as to support her 2 boys.
