Stand with Kim: Christmas Cancer Diagnosis
Donation protected
On Christmas Eve 2024, while most folks were relaxing and celebrating with loved ones, Kim Valinski was having a biopsy performed on a mass in her breast. A short time later, she received the devastating news that it was, in fact, breast cancer; specifically, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Instead of buckling under such heavy news, Kim, like the fighter she is, remains standing tall and is gearing up for the fight of her life. The first step in this battle is surgery on January 21st to remove the mass. Pending the results of that surgery, Kim's next steps will either be more surgery, or straight to radiation treatments.
Compounding the stress of this situation are insurance woes. Kim and her husband, Steve, received news that the health insurance they've been faithfully paying for every month for years, will not cover significant chunks of Kim's life-saving treatment plan. Treatment hasn't even started, and their out-of-pocket costs are already in the thousands.
A devoted wife and mother of three, Kim is a Mahanoy City native. Her husband, Steve Valinski, grew up in Pleasant Mount, PA, and is a 1995 graduate of Forest City Regional. For years, Kim and Steve have ALWAYS displayed a willingness and desire to help others, and have selflessly donated to numerous causes. Now that kindness and generosity needs to reflected back to them. It's time to show Kim that although we can't fight this battle for her, she's not fighting it alone.
Please, please, please consider donating to help with Kim's medical bills. Every dollar really does count, so donate what you can, share this on your social media, and spread the word. Thank you all in advance, friends.
