Stand with Kim: A Mother Facing Cancer

Hello! My name is Yari and I’m trying to help a good friend out. Her name is Kim. I met Kim about 10 years ago when I got hired on at Red Lobster. We’ve worked together since then.

Kim has been a part of my life for about 10 years now making her feel more like family than just a friend. Kim is such a beautiful and strong woman. To know Kim is to be blessed with a great friend. She is a single mother to 5 beautiful children who she works her butt off to be able to provide the best for them. Kim is also such a positive and spiritual person.

After not feeling well for a while, Kim decided to go to the ER. This turned into a ER visit that would change her life forever.

Kim has recently been told she has what they suspect to be ovarian cancer which has progressed to her liver and lungs. Now hospitalized and undergoing chemo, Kim is left not being able to work and relying on friends and family to help with her children. I want to be able to help take at least some of the financial burden off her shoulders while she’s on this road to recovery.
