Help Support Ken Foster
Ken Foster — our dear friend and bass player in the band Ship of Phools — is facing one of the toughest opponents of his life. Ken has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow.
Recently, Ken underwent major spine surgery to fuse several discs together, a necessary step to relieve pain and stabilize his back. In the coming weeks, he’ll begin a difficult course of radiation treatments, followed by chemotherapy to fight the disease.
Ken has always been the kind of person who shows up for others — steady, kind, and full of heart — both on stage and off. Now it’s our turn to show up for him. The road ahead will be long and filled with challenges, and medical bills, recovery costs, and time away from work are already creating a heavy financial burden.
We’re asking friends, family, fellow musicians, and music lovers to help support Ken during this time. Any amount you can give will make a difference — whether it helps cover medical expenses, transportation to appointments, or simply brings Ken a little peace of mind as he focuses on healing.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word. Together, we can help Ken stay strong through treatment and get him back where he belongs — making music and bringing joy to everyone around him.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
