Support Kelly in Her Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

In June, our family’s world was turned upside down when my mom, Kelly, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Goblet Cell Adenocarcinoma—a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Since then, she has already endured an extensive surgery that included the removal of her appendix, a full hysterectomy, and a portion of her colon. Despite the pain and recovery, she has faced every step of this battle with incredible strength and courage.

But the journey ahead is still long and difficult. Her treatment plan will take at least nine months and includes:

3 months of chemotherapy

A 6-week recovery break

HIPEC surgery (a highly intensive surgery with heated chemotherapy)

Another 6-week break

3 more months of chemotherapy

During this time, my mom will be unable to work. While she will be on disability, she is still responsible for paying the full cost of her medical insurance, which is $2,400 per month. On top of treatment expenses, this adds a tremendous financial burden at a time when all of her energy should be focused on healing.

Anyone who knows Kelly knows how much she has given of herself—always the one to show up for others, always putting family and friends first. Now, it’s our turn to rally around her.
