Hi Everyone, My name is Tommy.
My wife's name is Kelli.
Kelli with an I and Tommy with a Y.
Just a little saying I have!
Please read!
I'll start with how our story began over 20 years ago.
Kelli was the girl next door "literally" right next door. The first time I ever saw her I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.
I was about fourteen years old at the time and I just had to know who she was.
So I found out from my mom that she was the neighbor's daughter but that she was a little too old for me "at the time"
but that never stopped me from always trying to get to talk to her or to be able to just say hi whenever possible.
Over the next four years I got to see her and "chase" her, but as the lady that she is, she was always making sure that I knew she was too old for me. "again at that time"
I really enjoyed my chase of her even though it never went anywhere besides a few words at a time over the years!
She was my Daisy Duke!
Y'all know what I'm talking about,
Ooh Yeah! Lol
At the age of 18, right around my birthday
I had been asking her to go out on a date with me but she always said no,
until she DIDN'T!
She said ok, so as many times before I said let's go dancing because we both love to dance and I can say we both really know how to dance and love it!
At the time the club was a 21 and up with a "teen night" on Sunday night.
I had been there but not on a regular night. Kelli told me, hey I'll show you what it's really like!!
The club was Cowboys in Kennesaw, Ga. Later known as
ELECTRIC COWBOYS.
We had the best time that night!
I was her DD and after the club and we went to her friend's place so she could lay in the tanning bed for a few minutes!!
I was supposed to keep time but we both fell asleep while she was laying in the tanning bed WITH IT ON !
I don't know who woke up first but she had been in there for quite a while and she was severely burnt, but she is strong and was able to get through it,
just looking like a lobster, a beautiful RED lobster
"Yummy snack"
I helped her out for the next couple of days, as we were neighbors!
After that we only saw each other a couple of times because I moved, got married, and had kids.
She had done the same and we lost contact with one another!!
I did look for her over the years but with no luck to my avail.
Twenty years later I moved back to the same city/area that I lived in growing up.
I had been back for about 3 years and I always ordered pizza from "THE HUT" right down the street from my house. This time was different. I didn't recognize who the manager was because before that I knew who he was.
I went to pick the pizza up in person this time to make sure it was correct.
I walked in and started talking to the lady behind the counter.
After a couple of minutes of talking I asked her what is your name ma'am ?
She said Kelli and I lit up like a Christmas tree in NY!
As soon as I started smiling she knew who I was and we both wrapped each other up in a big hug
The rest is the rest.
Now we have been married for 4 years!
On December 12, 2023 our lives changed!
We didn't know why she had been hurting so bad and why she couldn't eat.
She had lost 50 lbs in 3 months.
She was about a week from dying!
We found out that she has stage 4 colon cancer and the softball size tumor had ruptured in her colon earlier that day and was leaking into her stomach cavity!
They told us that she had five pockets of infection and they put in three drainage tubes, in her sides and back.
One of the tubes had released 250 ml of pus in the first hour. Those 5 turned into 13 before it was all over!
They put an ostomy bag on her at her sternum to get her some nutrients and food in her system. Infectious disease control came in and took over her case for what antibiotics they would use because the infections were so bad.
The first time in the hospital she was there for 25 days
Then they let her out of the hospital for a couple of weeks.
Then they did the major surgery to remove the tumor and ostomy bag!
She spent another two weeks in the hospital after surgery.
She has just got done with her 8th round of chemo treatment on 6/29/24 and has four more treatments to go. ☹️
After the chemo is done she will go for 30 rounds of radiation! .
I have been by her side for as much of it as I could possibly be.
This has taken our lives from us and now we need help financially.
We are in a hole and need just a hand up!
This is very hard to even write this message and tell our story to everyone, but for her I will do ANYTHING for however long it takes!
So if you can please help spread our story and only donate if you can.
Any amount at this point will make a huge difference in our lives!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and thank you for reading our story.
Please share with everyone that you can!
Sincerely,
Kelli and Tommy Holt
