Hello family and friends. My name is Kecia Miller and what I'm about to ask is hard for me to do because I'm a very private person and I always try to work through whatever situation I face in life, but this is one that I know I have to swallow my pride and ask for help.

In the month of December, I came home for my uncle's funeral and while I was here, I was sick the whole time. When I made it back to Texas, I went to see my doctor and she said that I had a bronchitis infection, so she prescribed me some medicine to take for a week. After the week passed, I got worse, so she prescribed me something stronger and that didn't work either. She sent me to the emergency room so that I could get an X-ray to make sure that I didn't have walking pneumonia. After being there for eight hours, the doctor came back and told me that I needed to stay so that they could run more tests on me in the morning. At first, I said no because I just wanted to go home and rest. They finally convinced me to stay and after they did a biopsy on my lungs, it came back that I have cancer on my lungs. This is shocking news to me because I never smoked in my life. I work out all the time and I try to eat healthy.

At the present moment, I'm not able to work and I'm going to need help with trying to keep my bills afloat until I can get into this cancer program or until I can get back to work, whichever comes first. I know that times are hard for everyone, but if you're able to help out, I would greatly appreciate it.
