Stand with Kaylee: Fight for Justice and Recovery

My name is Kaylee and I’m also know as @BodyIsntMine isn’t mine on TikTok.

For those now aware of my story, I was drugged, kidnapped and raped by the maintenance man at my apartment complex Alvista Galleria where I was visiting/living with a friend at the time.

Before this happened, Alvista Galleria was previously known as Alpha West and had *just* sold to new management. Because of this, they covered up the crime and refused to cooperate with police or hand over security footage. Weeks later, I would write Google reviews of what happened to me and the employees of Alvista Galleria gaslit and bullied me publicly.

When I was found, I was taken to Medical City Dallas and experienced serious medical neglect and have been fighting with the patient advocates.

Even worse, during the investigation, I was assigned detective Aranda from the Farmers Branch PD who made it very clear that she didn't believe me and even stated that my case wasn't a priority of hers and only spoke positively about my rapist. She even lied in her investigation notes. When I started speaking out against detective Aranda’s behavior, she suddenly retired. When speaking to Sergeant McMain about detective Aranda's behavior, he became extremely aggressive, said there was no way she had treated me like that and stated that I was never roofied that: "maybe the soda tasted funny because you didn't like it?" Have you ever had Big Red before?" I cannot fathom ever even thinking of speaking to a rape victim that way. It was extremely distressing and as I was sobbing on the phone to him he simply suggested that I just “go to therapy.”

I've applied for Victims Compensation three times and have been denied because of Detective Aranda and the severe neglect I experienced during my case which has put me in extreme amounts of medical debt. I lost friends, my apartment, had to move suddenly, lost jobs, spent a lot of time and money seeing a therapist and specialists, have screw PTSD and developed an eating disorder. It’s ruined my life. I even had to pay for the bodycam footage—I had to pay to see my rapist.

I’m asking for the amount of $20,000 to cover my medical debt, my continuous treatment and pay for a lawyer. I’m fighting every single day to get justice for myself.
