Hi, my name is Katrina, and I’m going through one of the hardest seasons of my life. A little over a year ago, my husband was taken from me in the most heartbreaking way — he was shot and killed right in our driveway. Since that day, life has been a constant battle. I’ve been trying to keep going, but grief has a way of shaking your world in ways you can’t prepare for. The trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, and waves of sorrow have been heavy, but I’ve held onto faith—believing that somehow, some way, God would carry me through. Despite not knowing what tomorrow brings, I get up and keep going, trusting that I’m still here for a reason. Now, I’m facing something I never imagined — losing my home. The house we built our life in, the place filled with memories, love, and his presence. It was part of a trust before we met, and now the people in charge want to sell it. I’ve been living here for over 11 years, and with nowhere else to go, I’m terrified of becoming homeless. I recently started working at Walmart and am doing all I can to save money, but it’s not enough to fight this alone. That’s why I created this GoFundMe. I’m asking for help — not because I want to, but because I truly need to. My goal is to raise enough to stay in my home, but if I can’t, I’ll use every donation to find a safe, affordable place like a used mobile home.
