Stand With Jyothi: A 5-Year-Old Fighting Hydrocephalus
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
I never imagined I would have to write something like this, but today I am asking for your love and support for a little girl of my college and well known close friend of mine. My friend left her IT job to fully take care of Jyothi and currently struggling financially and emotionally.
Jyothi is only 5 years old, yet she has already endured more than most of us face in a lifetime. She was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, a condition where excess fluid builds up in the brain. To survive, she depends on a shunt, which has already had to be replaced three times. Each surgery has been a fight for her life, and each recovery has been long and painful.
Because of her heavy medications and the toll of her condition, she struggles just to stand or walk properly. Things that should come naturally to a child—running, playing, dancing—are battles for her. Watching her try so hard breaks my heart, but at the same time, her courage inspires everyone around her.
Her parents are doing everything in their power to care for her, but the medical expenses, hospital visits, and therapies have placed a huge financial strain on the family. What should be a joyful time of childhood has instead been filled with worry, surgeries, and hospital stays.
This is why I am asking for your help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward Jothi’s medical needs, therapies, and ongoing care. More than anything, your prayers, encouragement, and support will give her family strength to keep going.
Please help us give Jyothi the chance to heal, to grow, and to have the childhood she deserves. She is a little fighter, and with your help, she doesn’t have to fight alone.
