Stand with Justin Mann in His Tough Times

Hi guys, Justin and Dawn Mann here. I have spent the last 5 years getting my life together, fixing my wrongs and becoming a better person. It took a lot of work and some vicious honesty, but I came out on top, and even have been blessed enough to marry the woman of my dreams. After my brother passed away my wife and I decided we had to move back to NC to be closer to his wife and kids and also my mom, sister, and kids. It took us a minute to figure out how much work needed to happen for us to be financially stable and have comfort living here, but we did. I have been a server for the last 2 years and I thrive in this line of work. I love it. I have been working full time at Breakfastime off Hanes Mall Blvd in Winston Salem, NC and 35 hours a week at night at Outwest Steakhouse in Kernersville, NC. On May, 23 2024 I was coming off Peter’s Creek Parkway in between both jobs and a woman rear ended the car in front of her and swerved in my lane totaling my car. She decided to shimmy herself from being pinned between both of our cars and took off. I broke my right hand on impact, which is my dominant hand. She since then has been found, and has insurance so the car part of this has been taken care of. We got a good personal injury lawyer to make sure things got taken care of as far as that, but I’m not going to be able to use my right hand for a minimum of another 8 weeks, and a settlement won’t be for at least another 3 months. I have called all the assistance places possible and they have a waiting list of 3 months and that was just the ones who got back to us. Our rental company doesn’t extend grace to situations like this because of some housing fairness act. They are moving to evict no matter of the doctors letter, or just proof of this accident happening. I was taking care of all of our bills, plus my child support. I tried as hard as I could to stay away from putting our business out there like this, but we are out of options and I’m here trying this last one. I’ve been out all of June and will be out the rest of July. I worked so hard to provide for the life my wife and I live now, and I am beyond upset about losing it because of something I didn’t do. This isn’t a woe is me, it’s just me trying everything I can in my power to save my house, car and get caught back up on my child support. Thank you all for for the support and well wishes through this nonsense. It hasn’t gone unnoticed or unappreciated. This is our last resort and I appreciate you taking the time to read all of this.
