Help with burial costs

Donation protected
Life is never how we plan it, especially when something like cancer comes into our lives and affects one of our loved ones. Julio Quintero Ortega was born on 07/06/1961 and is a father to 5 beautiful daughters and one son he raised as his own. He has 4 granddaughters and 7 grandsons who loved him dearly.

Last year, around October 2024, we received the worst news about my father-in-law. Doctors told the family he had Sarcoma cancer and that he would start chemotherapy right away to reduce the spread throughout the body. Our world has been flipped upside down since the news. The person we once saw as a strong, loving, and independent man started to change. He used to love socializing, playing música Norteña, and spending time with his family. BBQing was his favorite! He loved tacos! But all those things started to change as the cancer progressed. As a family, we all tried to do the best we could to be there for him.

The oncologist told us in January after a recent PET scan that the cancer had now spread throughout his entire body. Chemo had to be stopped. Instead of shrinking the tumors, they were growing and multiplying rather quickly. He lost so much weight throughout the months. We as a family were hurting to see him literally deteriorating before our eyes and in so much pain, and there is nothing we can do. On early Sunday morning of Feb 23rd, 2025; My wife brought her father to Loma Linda because he wasn't feeling well. There, the doctors were medicating him and let us know, he only had 1 hour to a week tops to live. There at Loma Linda, they were making sure his passing was as smooth and comfortable as they could, with little to no pain. Sadly, with broken hearts, my father in law passed away last night Monday, Feb 24th, 2025 and went Home to be with the Lord.

This has taken a toll on the family mentally, physically, and financially. We are asking for donations in our time of need. We did not expect this outcome. We must start making arrangements for his burial. We are not in the right headspace to think about a burial and this is the most heartbreaking thing we've ever had to do. If you could find it in your heart to donate anything, it'll help. I don't wish cancer on anyone. This process is hard for the person going through it and the family watching their loved one in so much pain. Please keep our family in your prayers. We'd greatly appreciate it. God bless.
