My name is Quincy, and I’m reaching out for support for my family. On September 22, the mother of my child was shot in the head during an encounter that began with threats earlier that day. It’s hard to put into words how horrible that day was. She survived, but now lives with permanent hearing loss in her left ear, skull impressions at the impact site, and a bullet lodged in her neck that requires surgical removal. Our daughter, Joy, is seven years old. She saw her mom hurt and bleeding that day. She wasn’t physically harmed, but the trauma of witnessing something so violent has changed her. Joy needs therapy to help her heal. Right now, we’re separated as a family, and all I want is for us to be together again, so we can support each other and start to heal. The money we raise will go toward surgery for Joy’s mom, therapy for Joy, and helping us reunite as a family. The surgery requires a significant upfront payment, and therapy is essential for Joy's recovery from the trauma she witnessed. Being together would be the biggest blessing and gift for our healing process. Any support you can give, no matter how small, means the world to us. Most of all, my daughter Joy is everything to us. We want her to be safe, to feel safe, and to know she’s loved. Thank you for reading our story and for standing with us.
