Everyone's cancer story is unique and special. All of us have been touched by this dreaded disease, either directly or indirectly, through loved ones and friends. By simply sharing Josh’s story, we hope we can impact countless lives and support one another through this process of survival. As a cancer patient, your initial reaction is shock. Then the focus shifts to how to survive? Less than a year ago Josh was diagnosed with kidney cancer, he under went surgery to remove his kidney and the tumor. Now he has been diagnosed with Myxoid Liposarcoma near his hip and is once again in the fight for his life. Josh's story is very unique, he has had two cancers in less than 10 months and he is 38 years old. This cancer will involve intense treatment and require that he take significant leave time from his job.
Josh is a hardworking and dedicated individual, he is also a key mentor with the Mid Peninsula Middle School and High School Robotics teams. He spends most of the school year guiding and inspiring students, helping them develop valuable skills and a passion for STEM. He is a great friend, a selfless mentor, and someone who means so much to so many. To help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, travel costs, and daily needs we are asking for donations. For someone who is used to giving to others, it is hard to ask for help, so we will ask for him. No donation is too small. Josh is an incredible person who has shown strength and resilience, but no one should have to fight alone. With your help, we can ensure he has the support he needs to focus on healing and recovery.
